Beyonce has released a fair amount of music in 2013. 'Bow Down / I Been On', 'Grown Woman', 'Standing In The Sun', 'Rise Up' - so surely there must be an album coming soon right?
The US superstar has today revealed that she has cut off all her hair, so is clearly up to something, but what?
There has been no 'official' single announced, and not one of her new tracks has been confirmed for her upcoming fifth studio album - which was rumoured to have been pushed back due to an apparent poor response to some of the tracks.
It is all very, very confusing indeed. If you can make head or tails of Beyonce's current release plans, please let us know. All the clues are below...
1. First of all she shared 'Bow Down / Been On'. Nobody knew what to make of it - because it was basically a bit bonkers
2. Then she made a big announcement that we all got very excited about. It was a Pepsi advert
3. Albeit, a Pepsi advert with a bit of a new song in it, 'Grown Woman'
4. But that wasn't released as a single, and she put another song on a H&M advert
5. But THAT wasn't the single either, and besides, she was too busy making sure no one took any photos of her looking ugly at her shows - like this
6. Which meant that tour photos from her London shows looked a lot like this
7. BUT HANG ON! Then artwork was released for another track, called 'Rise Up' which is written by Sia and from new cartoon movie Epic
8. Oh wait. This isn't the 'Run The World', 'Crazy In Love' sort of track we hoped for, it's a slushy end-credits ballad type thing, not exactly the world conquering return we all hoped for
9. So now it seems she has decided to get 'Grown Woman' out properly, which has recently 'leaked' in full and is really quite good (even if we all know it was recorded to sell fizzy drinks)
10. The star confirmed to fans that the album will reportedly be released in November, but that was during a meet and greet with fans in Norway - and she might have just tossed out the first date that came to her mind
11. Oh but wait. She scrapped the whole thing, THE WHOLE THING, according to producer Diplo, who claims she singer has abandoned everything she was working on. Even producer Ne-Yo stated that she was still working out what she wanted the album to be.
12. THEN, a finished version of 'Grown Woman' leaked online - but was promptly removed. This suggests that she hasn't quite given up on everything she was working on, but can she really make her comeback with a song which is now close to six months old?
13. She's clearly up to something however, because she has recently cut all her hair off. She's either gearing up for a relaunch, had nits or was just really annoyed about something (come on, we can't be the only people to have ever shaved our heads for a bit of attention right?)
14. So what's going on? What is Beyonce's new single? WE DON'T HAVE A BLOODY CLUE. But we ask you - does this look like a woman without a plan?
