Arctic Monkeys kicked off their UK tour last night in Newcastle - beginning one of the biggest UK tours of the year with a spectacular show at the Metro Radio Arena.

Their upcoming gigs mark the close of a hugely successful year for the band, having headlined Glastonbury and released fifth album AM to huge acclaim and worldwide success. At a point in their career where many other bands would be taking a turn for the worse, the Sheffield rockers are still on the up and on track to be one of the biggest bands in UK music history.
