Pop music is currently seeing something of a golden age, with artists becoming more and more adventurous with their sounds, and newcomers Lightknife are among the many new bands striving for something bigger and better than the norm with their work.

The UK three-piece have today premiered new tracks 'Subway Stars' and 'This Mess We're In' on Gigwise, two ambitious slices of piano led pop, which gain added interest from the unique and impressive vocals of frontwoman Rosie Vanier. The band name the likes of Shakespeare's Sister, Kate Bush and Cyndi Lauper among their influences, and the sounds of those pioneering bands and singers can be clearly heard in their music.
