The Great Escape Festival has more to do with gigging than digging. It takes place at the seaside city of Brighton, involving almost all the live venues in the centre, all within walking distance.
By day there's a variety of insightful industry talks, panel debates and celebrity interviews and by night there's a festival of live acts and parties showcasing the best new talent from around the world.
The Great Escape, celebrating its 10th anniversary, features a stellar line-up including The Cribs, Gaz Coombes, Django Django, Kate Tempest, Slaves, Ibeyi, Alabama Shakes, Swim Deep, George The Poet and an array of new bands.
The festival has also bought back The Vevo stage, which has been curated by the music video and entertainment platform since 2011, will this year see performances from SOAK, Jack Garratt, Seinabo Sey, George The Poet, The Cribs, Little Simz and more.There'll be acoustic sessions in the Vevo garden from 11.30am each day from acts on the line-up, ahead of the main stage opening at 8pm.
The Brighton festival has played host to many up-and-coming acts who've gone on to achieve worldwide success over the years, including Sam Smith, Iggy Azalea, Hozier, Years & Years and Tove Lo.
