Last week, it was revealed that Prince had written a tribute song for Baltimore, following the death of Freddie Gray. You can stream his tribute song in full below.

An official statement from spokesperson Yvette Noel-Schure stated that the song "addresses the unrest in Baltimore and the socio/political issues around the country in the wake of a slew of killings of young black men." The song, was recorded this week at Paisley Park and it serves as a “tribute to all of the people of the city of Baltimore”.

Prince told Fox 9 News that following the death of Freddie Gray, along with the news of Joni Mitchell’s hospitalization, “I had a lot I needed to get out…That news this week, and what's happening in Baltimore…well, you know.”

This Sunday (April 10), Prince and his band 3RDEYEGIRL will be playing a ‘Rally 4 Peace’ concert at Baltimore’s Royal Farms Arena. They will be joined by “several industry superstars”, according to CBS, who have called in support for the event and are expected to attend.

“In a spirit of healing, the event is meant to be a catalyst for pause and reflection following the outpouring of violence that has gripped Baltimore and areas throughout the U.S.,” a press release read. “As a symbolic message of our shared humanity and love for one another, attendees are invited to wear something gray in tribute to all those recently lost in the violence.”

Audio from the concert will be streaming live via Tidal. A portion of the proceeds from the concert will go to Baltimore-based youth charities, and Tidal will be matching any donations made through its website.
