Wolf Alice covered Scissor Sisters' 'Take Your Mama' in the BBC Music Tepee at Glastonbury this weekend. Watch it below.
The band performed two sets at the festival - the first of which was a surprise performance on Thursday evening at William's Green, and the second of which was on the Park Stage on Friday (26 June).
As if that wasn't enough, they visited the BBC Music Tepee for a brilliant, if under-rehearsed cover of Scissor Sisters' 'Take Your Mama'. The syncopated, buoyant rendition is a little lighter than much of the material on the band's own debut album, My Love Is Cool, but it's still laced with a hint of melancholy.
As the song progresses, it becomes clear that lead singer Ellie Rowsell isn't as familiar with the song's later verses as she'd realised, and the song ends with her mumbling her fellow band members's names before saying, "I don't think we've quite made an ending here." It's sort of wonderful.

Though it was at No.1 in the midweek charts, Wolf Alice's recently released debut album, My Love Is Cool, debuted at No.2 on Sunday, after being edged out by Florence + The Machine's How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful.
