Prince pulls music from streaming services except TIDAL

Bad news Prince fans, as His Royal Badness has removed his music from all streaming services except TIDAL, Soundcloud and Rhapsody. 

If you want to listen to the 'Purple Rain' sensation, you can only find him on Jay Z's controversial TIDAL service, Soundcloud and Rhapsody (for now). Fans who may have taken to Spotify to to listen to the Purple One may have been greeted by this message: 

“Prince’s publisher has asked all streaming services to remove his catalog. We have cooperated with the request and hope to bring his music back as soon as possible.”

Meanwhile, Prince also this week unveiled the epic new track 'HARDROCKLOVER' - check it out below

If Prince's departure from Spotify is for monetary and royalty reasons, then he joins the likes of Thom Yorke, Taylor Swift, Portishead's Geoff Barrow and The Who's Pete Townsend in criticising the service.
