Muse have revealed that they are 'hoping' to headline Glastonbury 2016, making it their third time topping the bill.
Glastonbury 2016 tickets sold out in just 30 minutes yesterday after going on general sale - despite the fact that the line-up is yet to be announced.
Rumoured acts include the likes of Adele, Coldplay and Foo Fighters, but now Muse have thrown their hat into the ring.
"I think we would play Glasto every year if we could. It's probably the best festival in the world," bassist Chris Wolstenholme told Q. "We're all hoping we get to do it on this album. It's been a while."
Other than the intimate Pyscho tour, Muse's only other touring in the UK was Radio One's Big Weekend, a triumphant headline show at Download and a tiny gig at London's Electric Ballroom.
"The Ballroom was awesome," said Wolstenholme. "Sometimes it's nice to strip away all the production because it brings all of the focus of the room to the band. There's definitely a stronger energy and it's nice to have the crowd so close to us."
