After unveiling a handful of new songs, Bloc Party have announced the details of their new album, HYMNS, due for release next year.
Back in August, the band played their first gig in two years - which marked the first time the band's new incarnation have performed together. Following the departures of drummer Matt Tong and bassist Gordon Moakes, the band have recruited Louise Bartle on drums, and Justin Harris on bass.
Last week, they were the first to kick off BBC 6 Music's week of live music, debuting two new tracks - 'Exes' and 'The Good News'. Later, they premiered new single 'The Love Within' - to a mixed response.

The band have now revealed that their fifth album will be called HYMNS, and is set for release on 29 January. It'll also be released in limited-edition double vinyl format, featuring four new songs.
As the title suggests, the record is about faith and devotion, but it is not, Kele Okereke insists, a religious epiphany. "I grew up in a religious house so I’m fully aware of the imagery," he said in a press release, "but I’m not Christian. It’s not something I subscribe to."
