Queen's 1975 Christmas show at Hammersmith Apollo - the most bootlegged gig of their career - is set to be released as a concert film.

The London show was the culmination of the band's 26-date Queen Invite You To A Night At The Opera UK tour, which took place 40 years ago. Because it was simulcast on both BBC Radio 1 and BBC 2, it became the most heavily bootlegged of the band's career.

Now though, you can watch a legal, legitimate version of the gig (aside from the second encore - the cameras packed up too early, hence 'Seven Seas Of Rhye' and 'See What A Fool I've Been' are only available on audio).

The concert film will be released next month on DVD, Blu-Ray, CD, vinyl and super deluxe box set, as well as digitally through Virgin EMI.

"This concert was very special because it was the first time we ever played a whole show completely live on TV … the Christmas Show," said Brian May in a press release. "The quality, after great rescue work and transfer into the digital domain, is amazing. And the energy we had comes across very forcefully."
