Awesome news for fans of The Last Shadow Puppets - a new album is indeed on its way. The year 2015 has been full of hope and rumour, but now the band have confirmed that their second record will be on its way next year with a mysterious teaser trailer.
The new Super 8 film was posted on the band's Facebook and official website with the simple caption 'Spring 2016'. Made up of footage of the band larking around the studio, there's little for a taste of new material bar the mumbling of potential lyrics and the ringing of some menacing chords - ending on Artic Monkeys' Alex Turner signing off with his Northern drawl "right, what needs doing?"
Fingers crossed for the announcement of a tour soon, with a smattering of new tracks alongside modern classics from The Age Of Understatement.

The confirmation comes after it was previously teased that the duo had been back in the studio, when Arcade Fire's Owen Pallett sent out a mysterious tweet suggesting he'd been collaborating with Last Shadow Puppets again.
Then, drummer and producer James Ford revealed that the record was finished.
"This year, I’ve just done a Last Shadow Puppets record, which is the guy from Arctic Monkeys and Miles Kane," he said. "So we did the follow-up album to that. That’s the last thing I did."
Confirming that the record was finished, he added that it "will "be out next year sometime."
Kane and Turner have since frequently guested on stage with one another to perform Last Shadow Puppets songs, but other than losing their shit to The Strokes during their Hyde Park gig this summer, all had seemingly gone quiet on the LSP front. Now, that's all about to change - bring on 2016.
