Eagles of Death Metal joined U2 on stage last night in Paris (7 December) - paying a touching tribute just weeks after their Bataclan show was struck by terrorists.
The American rockers were invited to join the stage by the Irish band, returning to the French capital just weeks after the November attacks.
Just one day after playing the first of their last two shows, U2 invited Patti Smith on stage to play her song 'People Have The Power', and Bono spoke to the New York Times about offering help to the Eagles. "We had a plane, which we put at the Eagles' use if they wanted it, but they found another way. The best thing we could do for our fellow musicians was to buy them phones," he said.
"I spoke to Julian [Dorio] and to Jesse [Hughes]. But that was the best thing, Jesse said, just getting the phones to be texting and all the stuff that you do — social media — to find out what’s going on. Their phones were in the venue."
Eagles Of Death Metal then took to Facebook to thank the band:

Closing the end of their Innocence and Experience tour, U2 and the Eagles performed together at the AccorsHotel Arena on the final show. The bands covered Patti Smith's 1984 song 'People Have The Power', and later closed the show with the song 'I Love You All The Time'.
After inviting them on stage, Bono said: "Nothing left, except to introduce you to some people whose lives will forever be a part of the city of Paris. These are our brothers, our fellow troubadours. They were robbed of their stage three weeks ago, so we'd like to offer them ours tonight."
