Justin Bieber's new song, 'Love Yourself', is currently neck and neck with the NHS Choir's 'A Bridge Over You' in the race for 2015's Christmas No.1. In a show of festive generosity, Justin Bieber has asked fans to knock his own single off the top spot in the name of charity.
'Love Yourself' - a verified banger - is currently at the top spot in the UK charts. It's shortly followed by another Bieber song, 'Sorry', at No.2, while a third Bieber track, 'What Do You Mean', is at No.5. It's hardly surprising, then, that he's willing to relinquish his stronghold on the charts for the Christmas period.
The Lewisham & Greenwich NHS Choir, who are raising money for Carers UK and Mind, are currently just 662 combined sales behind Bieber in the race for Christmas No.1, and it looks like Bieber's latest tweet might push them into the lead.
"So for 1 week," tweeted Bieber, "it's OK not to be #1. Let's do the right thing & help them win. It's Christmas." It's been retweeted over 18,000 times.

The NHS choir comprises NHS staff, including doctors, physios, porters and nurses. Their single, a mash-up of Simon & Garfunkel's 'Bridge Over Troubled Water' and Coldplay's 'Fix You', "celebrates what the NHS is all about in terms of us being here for people, helping people get better and recovering."
