This is happening - LCD Soundsystem look set to reunite for Coachella and a wider tour, as more awesome Christmas news rolls in for fans of the 'All My Friends' and 'Home' dance heroes.
James Murphy and co thrilled fans with the comeback song in the form of the festive track 'Christmas Will Break Your Heart' - telling the world that the band briefly reunited to record song, one that they've been meaning to for 'eight years'.
The band's label DFA denied heavy rumours that they'd be getting back together for a proper reunion and live shows in 2016, however now The New York Times reports that the band are definitely performing at Coachella - with a band spokesman refusing to comment.
LCD Soundsystem played their 'final' ever show at New York's Madison Square Garden back in 2011 - the concert was immortalised in the film Shut Up And Play The Hits and the live album The Long Goodbye.
Since then, the band have been busying themselves with various projects - with Murphy working on soundtracks, turning tennis data into music, producing the likes of Arcade Fire and Klaxons, remixing David Bowie, making a short film, planning to turn the entire NYC subway into a musical symphony, launching his own brand of coffee and working with 2ManyDJs on the incredible Despacio.
