Coachella festival has announced the line-up for 2016, and two out of its three headliners are newly reformed bands: Guns N' Roses and LCD Soundsystem. The Last Shadow Puppets - Alex Turner and Miles Kane's side-project, are also set to perform.
Guns N' Roses' reunion appearance will be the first time singer Axl Rose and guitarist Slash have performed together since 1993. Rumours of Slash's return to the band began gaining traction over Christmas, with Axl Rose teasing fans by tweeting, "The only thing I know 'confirmed' is my LOVE of Taco Bell!"
LCD Soundsystem, meanwhile, had their reunion leaked back in October by Consequence Of Sound, who reported that 'multiple sources' had confirmed that the band would be getting back together in 2016.
James Murphy's label partner and manager at DFA tried his best to throw fans off the scent by tweeting, "hey idiots, LCD Soundsystem isn't reuniting. they're dead, along with your good looks and cultural relevance." As it turned out though, CoS were spot on. They also said the band will headline "at least three high-profile music festivals in the US and UK," so fingers crossed there'll be a UK-based announcement soon.
Elsewhere on the Californian festival's typically impressive line-up are Sufjan Stevens, Foals, The Last Shadow Puppets, Savages, Halsey, Grimes, The 1975, Sia, Wolf Alice, and many, many more.
