As the rumours continue to circulate around who'll be performing at Glastonbury 2016, it looks like the first huge name has been confirmed - with ZZ Top looking set to make an appearance.
The news comes in after tickets were announced for the band to play a show around the same time as Glasto across the continent in Amsterdam, with the Heineken Music Hall giving the game away with a statement on their website:
"ZZ Top comes in June and July 2016 for 20 concerts, which are all part of their new roadshow to Europe," they said. "The Hell Raisers Tour kicks off in Birmingham to travel further then to the renowned Glastonbury Festival in Pilton. Then the band to mainland Europe is going to include performances in France, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Belgium and the legendary Montreux Jazz Festival in Switzerland where they recorded their DVD Live at Montreux 2013."
So, we can hope for some UK shows from the 'Sharp Dressed Man' rock heroes too then, eh? Not too shabby...
Glastonbury Festival is set to take place from 22 - 26 June. Muse have been named as bookies' favourites to headline, after the band teased that they are 'hoping to' perform next year. Foo Fighters were reportedly booked to appear in 2016 - after pulling out of their performance this summer due to Dave Grohl breaking his leg.
Meanwhile, Adele and Coldplay are also favourites to headline, alongside Foo Fighters and Coldplay - while Rod Stewart and Leo Sayer have also voiced their ambitions to appear.
