Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has spoken out about some pretty major changes coming to the festival this summer, as well as revealing when tickets will be available for re-sale.

Emily, who runs the festival with father Michael, was speaking to Noisey about what to expect from this summer's event, when she revealed that the legendary John Peel Tent would be moving a significant distance up the nearby slope and towards into the woods.

"We’re moving John Peel, which is quite a dramatic move," she said. "It’s going to go into a field that was previously hospitality camping. Next to that there’s a woods where we’re going to be doing a light installation. I think the centre of gravity [on site] will change again, because every time a massive stage moves it shifts the dynamic. From John Peel you’ll be able to walk straight to the Pyramid stage."

Glasto tickets sold out last year in record time. Confirming that there will be a re-sale of tickets in the Spring, Emily continued: "There will be a re-sale but unfortunately, as ever, it’s not going to be massive. It’ll probably be a few low thousand – a couple thousand, something like that. That will be in April. We’re really hoping we’ll get some line-up out there before then but we’ll have to just see. There are lots of reasons why it’s tied up – contracts and that."

This week also saw the launch of the Glastonbury Emerging Talent competition, for new acts to compete for the chance to perform at the iconic festival
