King Charles returns this weekend with his hotly-anticipated second album, Gamble For A Rose. Hear it first on Gigwise exclusively below.
After dropping his epic and acclaimed debut Loveblood back in 2012, the folk sensation arrived on the scene as an artist fully-formed. Now, it seems his potential seems to know no bounds - evolving his sound, aesthetic and artistic spirit, while returning to the roots of what made him fall in love with music in the first place.
Jamming with the likes of Charlie Fink and Tom Hobden from Noah And The Whale, with a little help from Mumford & Sons' Winston Marshall and produced by no less than Marcus Mumford, Gamble For A Rose is a bold and fearless leap forwards - the sound of an artist so comfortable in their own skin, charging confidently into the horizon.
