The Sunday teatime slot at Glastonbury has developed something of a cult status over the past few years. Often, it draws the biggest crowd of the entire festival. This morning, organisers have confirmed that Jeff Lynne's ELO will take the mantle in 2016.
Last year saw Lionel Richie take to the Pyramid stage on Sunday afternoon, and his performance not only drew the biggest crowd, but also catapulted his greatest hits album up the UK charts.
In previous years, Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, Shirley Bassey and Paul Simon have performed in that slot.
This year, the slot will be filled by Jeff Lynne's ELO - the new name for the recently reformed Electric Light Orchestra. The band don't quite have the plethora of mainstream hits that Lionel Richie or Dolly Parton did, but they were phenomenally successful in the '70s with the likes of 'Mr Blue Sky', 'Roll Over Beethoven' and 'Don't Bring Me Down'.

This is the first official line-up announcement made by the festival, though Grimes is all-but confirmed to appear, and ZZ Top are also heavily rumoured to perform. Foo Fighters were reportedly booked to appear in 2016 - after pulling out of their performance this summer due to Dave Grohl breaking his leg.
Glastonbury Festival is set to take place from 22 - 26 June at Worthy Farm in Somerset.
