Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has been featured on the newest episode of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke.
Corden’s Late, Late Show places musicians or groups in a car with Corden as they drive around Los Angeles singing songs together. Previous artists include Adele, One Direction, Justin Bieber and Rod Stewart.
A teaser clip for the episode has been released. In the clip, Corden picks up a hitchhiking Chris Martin who is looking for a ride to the Super Bowl. Coldplay are set to perform at the NFL event on Sunday 7 February.
Elton John has been confirmed as the next Carpool Karaoke guest, which will air after the Super Bowl on Sunday. The episode will also guest star Zac Efron, Anna Kendrick and Adam DeVine.
Meanwhile, Coldplay are one of the first acts to be announced for Radio 1’s Big Weekend, whilst their ‘Hymns For The Weekend’ video has come under criticism by Hindu leader Rajan Zed for cultural appropriation.
Recently it was announced that Coldplay will receive the Godlike Genius Award at the NME Awards 2016. The band will pick up the award in person and will perform live at the ceremony at O2 Academy, Brixton, London on 17 Feburary. Noel Gallagher, Johnny Marr, Blondie and Suede have all been previous recepients of the award.
