Nile Rodgers has responded to criticism of his performance with Lady Gaga at the Grammys, in which the pair paid tribute to the late, great David Bowie.
The Chic icon and Bowie collaborator teamed up with Gaga to run through a brief but extensive and visually powerful run-through of Bowie classics, including 'Space Oddity', 'Heroes', 'Rebel Rebel', 'Fashion', 'Fame' and more.
However, the performance then came under attack from many fans online - with the criticism led by Bowie's own son, Duncan Jones, who described it as 'irrational' and 'mentally confused'.
Now, Rodgers has taken to Twitter to respond the various criticisms - arguing 'I think I had an amazing relationship with Bowie', responding to Duncan Jones' attack, and believing that David Bowie 'would have been proud':
Many artists and tributes were performed, we did what we thought and still think was right in our short time slot. x https://t.co/NottaU93am
