Bjork wins Best International Female at BRIT Awards 2016

We're pretty surprised too, but quite delighted - Bjork has been named as Best International Female at the BRIT Awards 2016.  Watch her amazing speech below.

The Icelandic icon picked up the prize via video link after success of her amazing 2015 album Vulnicura - beating the likes of Lana Del Rey, Courtney Barnett, Ariana Grande and Meighan Trainor

Appearing in a mask via video link, she thanked fans "for the absolute best title ever."

She continued: "I'm going to enjoy very much, being the Best International Female for a whole year. Thank you very much." 

Last year also saw Bjork cancel a string of dates due to personal reasons, adding that would begin work on her nex album

Earlier in the evening, Adele also used the opportunity to voice her support for Kesha during one of her three acceptance speeches
