Two beautiful David Bowie vinyl releases are coming for Record Store Day 2016, with picture disc reissues of classic single 'TVC15' and the album, The Man Who Sold The World confirmed.
Record Store Day will take place on 16 April 2016, with hundreds of exclusive releases across vinyl, cassette and more being sold through independent record stores throughout the UK for one day only. The full list is due to be announced imminently, but meanwhile, David Bowie's people have revealed details of new reissues.
The first will be 'TVC15' from 1976's Station To Station, backed by a 2010 remix of Wild Is The Wind - with images on the picture disc being taken from Bowie's promo stills of the era, as well as a still from The Man Who Fell To Earth:
The other is a reissue of his 1970 album, The Man Who Sold The World - complete with the original psycedelic German artwork. It's certainly something to behold:
It was previously revealed that Bowie planned various posthumous releases prior to his death that would be 'divided into eras'. Not only that, but it is reported that not only are there five unheard songs from final album Blackstar to be released, but that Bowie had started demoing new tracks for one more album in the weeks leading up to his death.
