Aohni has revealed the second single, 'Drone Bomb Me', from her new album, Hopelessness - and the accompanying video stars Naomi Campbell. Watch it below.

The artist formerly performed under the moniker Antony & The Johnsons, but she recently adopted a name she felt better suited her transgender identity - one which she has been going by in her personal life for some years.

'Drone Bomb Me', which is an indictment of America's drone campaign in Afghanistan and Pakistan, is tender and poignant and aggressive all at once. "The song is a love song from the perspective of a girl whose family has been killed by a drone bomb," explained Anohni on Annie Mac's Radio One show.

She added, "She's looking up at the sky, and she's gotten herself to a place where she just wants to be killed by a drone bomb too. As a kid, when you're a victim of something terrible, you find a way to make sense of it, even sidle up closer to it."

Naomi Campbell takes two guises in the video, which was directed by Nabil - the first sits static in a chair, mouthing along to the lyrics as tears pour down her face. The second dances joyously wearing a bejewelled costume and a spiked black crown. This is interpersed with footage of male dancers and contortionists, reflections of explosions glinting in their eyes.

Anohni is playing two shows at London's Barbican Centre on 7 and 8 July. Get tickets and more information here.
