Mitski has just shared the video to her latest track, ‘Happy’ - and it's anything but happy.

The song is the opening track from Puberty 2, which is out on 17 June through Dead Oceans, and its accompaying video features a shocking twist. 

Discussing the video, which was directed by Maegan Houang, Mitski said, "This video is all Maegan Houang. She's in LA and I'm in NY, so I emailed her vague ideas about what the video should be, and she turned around and came back with a completely out of the box narrative that blew us all away.

"So I just went, 'Right, I'm going to trust you on this and have you do what you want.'Sometimes the best thing to do is to step back and let people do what they're good at."

Mitski is set to play in Dublin, Brighton, Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and London in the autumn. For tickets and for more information, click here.
