The Oasis feud continues to grow more and more ridiculous, with not only Noel Gallagher responding to brother Liam calling him 'a potato', but now with the former Beady Eye frontman escalating his comments further...
It all started when Gigwise interviewed the producer of Noel's new album, David Holmes - who told us “this one is quite fun.” Liam Gallagher was having none of it - taking to twitter to reply “FUN is that what you call it...Your [sic] nothing but a YES man remember that GINGE.”
He then sent two identical tweets calling Noel a potato, then called someone (probably Noel again) a “fokin prick”, and then returned to the “fun” theme: "Fun as in wake me up bfore you go go have you heard yourselfs your pair of tossers club Tropicana drinks are free.”
Looks like a reunion is probably off the cards. Even moreso, now that Noel has responded to The Toronto Star: “That’s so unlike him. I guess it was about him staying relevant. If you’re him, what else is there to tweet about? How his spring/summer collections are doing for his clothing firm? I’m not sure that warrants a tweet.
"Should he ever climb out of the “where are they now” basket and grant you an interview, ask him. I’m sure you’ll get a typically fucking surreal answer."
Noel added: "We’ve not been on speaking terms since 1996. I tolerated him up until he stopped being able to sing. When singing becomes shouting - I switched off then. I was just amassing money.”
Here's Liam's typically poetic response:

This comes after Liam was forced to apologise for sending homophobic Tweets about the recent Euro football riots - before one fan went as far to get them tattooed on him.
Gallagher has spent much of the year being hard at work on his next album. Speaking to Gigwise last month, the album's producer David Holmes said: "Yeah, it's going really good. We're a good bit into it now, we've got nearly five tracks done now. People are going to be surprised. I think people love Noel and they're desperate for him to make a really big, bold, uptempo beast of a record - a lot of Noel's music is quite mid-tempo. This one is quite fun."
He continued: "Noel's straightforward, he normally just reacts - he either goes 'yeah, that's great' or 'no, that's not for me', or to be perfectly blunt 'no that's fookin' shite'. It's been really good, Keefus has been playing on it - it's been a fun experience. He's super talented and a joy to work with."
"It's not for me to say what it sounds like, it's his record - I'm just helping him try to realise a different way of working and stuff. You're going to have to wait and see. He's a brilliant guitar player, and he's really getting into guitar pedals and stuff. He's got two great ears."
