More about: Manic Street PreachersThe Anchoress
Manic Street Preachers performed a special headine show at the Eden Sessions this weekend, inviting support act The Anchoress to join them on stage to perform their classic single 'Little Baby Nothing'. Check it out below.
"This song ruined me for the next ten years in setting the bar way too high thinking every man might be as capable of understanding what it’s like to inhabit the female body," superfan The Anchoress, AKA Catherine AD, told Gigwise of 'Little Baby Nothing' when selecting her favourite Manics tracks for us. "My lifetime ambition is to duet on this with the band. Hint! Hint!"
Well, her dream came true - when she got the chance to open for the band at Cornwall's Eden Sessions at the weekend, being beckoned back on stage later to fill the vocal of pornstar Traci Lords, who sang on the original Generation Terrorists single. The likes of Kylie Minogue have also sang on the track.
"So you might seen her earlier," said Nicky Wire, introducing The Anchoress, "she's a special talent and she's going to sing 'Little Baby Nothing' with us for the first time. Would you please welcome back the simply divine, The Anchoress."
This summer sees the Manics headline Truck Festival and Victorious Festival. Get your Manic Street Preachers tickets here. <
