Last night, the band, The Lapelles, took to Facebook to share the devestating news, that their singer, Gary Watson had passed away after a "tragic accident".
The post said:
The post read: "It's with shock, heavy hearts and sadness that we have to let you know the news that Gary sadly passed away this morning as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic accident last night.
"Today was his 22nd birthday. We are lost for words and struggling to process such a tragedy.
"Gary was a creative force, a man who without his vision this band wouldn't exist. We have lost a friend, a brother, a hero.
"At the moment it doesn't seem real. We send our deepest condolences to Gary's family and would appreciate your respect in allowing them & us some peace whilst we grieve.
"Forever in our hearts, with peace you go. X"
The Lappelles were onto a fairly promising path with only just supporting The Last Shadow Puppets, and their own national headline tour scheduled.
The police are not treating the death as suspicious.
Police received reports of a man being in water near to Glasgow Bridge, off Jamaica Street, at around 10pm last night.
Emergency services attended the scene to rescue him, but Gary Watson sadly passed away after being taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary.
There has been an outpouring of support on Social Media from the Scottish music scene and the band's memebers alike.

Promoter of The Lapelles for DF Concerts, said: " One of the nicest, humble and talented guys I've ever met. He represented and will continue to represent the amazing excitement surrounding the music scene in Scotland. My thoughts are with the rest of team Lapelles and his family. So sad."
Whilst Leo Condie, the frontman of WHITE, posted: "Utterly devastated by this news. I never saw Gary without a smile on his face, never heard anything but the nicest things said of him, and whenever our paths crossed knew he was a gentle, kind, talented, humble man. I don't think you could find a single person involved in Glasgow music who didn't think he was destined for big things with the Lapelles. The world needs more Garys, not less. F**k the world. RIP Gary Watson & so many condolences & thoughts to his family & friends. Please keep them safe & give them your love X."
The band have asked that both themselves and Watson's family have some time to grieve.
