Great news Iggy Pop fans: Vinyl reissues of the punk icon's first three records will be released to mark their 40th anniversary.
The Idiot, Lust For Life, and the collection of live recordings TV Eye were all released in 1977, and have just been remastered from the original analogue tapes. The special coloured vinyl will be released on 2 June - a must for any Pop diehard.
Iggy Pop's longtime pal David Bowie contributed to the records - producing and co-writing The Idiot and Lust For Life, and playing keys on TV Eye.
Elsewhere, Iggy Pop has recently featured in an interview with Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich over on Rolling Stone. The legendary pair talked in depth, discussed meeting the late Lou Reed, while the former Stooge offered his thoughts on the Metallica and Reed collaboration Lulu.
Iggy Pop last released an album in the form of 2016's Post Pop Depression. The project saw Pop put together an almighty supergroup, featuring Queens Of The Stone Age's Josh Homme and Dean Fertita, as well as Arctic Monkeys drummer Matt Helders.
Despite whispers of retirement, it was reported in November last year that the 70-year-old was back in the studio, and said the idea of further collaborative projects is appealing to him.
