Glastonbury 2004
Next years Glastonbury Festival has been given the go ahead. Event organiser Michael Eavis with his daughter Emily and Mean Fiddler organiser Melvin Benn attended the meeting held at Mendip District Council on Wednesday 26th November.
The licence was given to stage next years Glastonbury Festival. This was probably due to the success of Glastonbury 2003 and the security measures put in place. The festival organisers have struggled to secured a licence in recent years because of overcrowding due to fence jumping and complaints from residents living nearby.
The festival will take place between 25th and 27th June. It’s been rumoured that Sir Paul McCartney will be appearing on the bill. This years festival sould out within hours.
