Young People might sound like typical art-rock poseurs but their EP is actually rather great. Six skeletal songs that sound empty and desolate, yet are carried along by a heartbeat-like rhythm and the kind of down-and-dirty guitars that haven’t been heard since the Great Franz Jerky Guitar movement of 2004. Imagine PJ Harvey’s 'Stories From the City…' if it was inspired by mountains and horses in America’s mid-west. Or something.
