The Morning After Girls

Co-founders Sacha Lucashenko and Martin B. Sleeman started playing around Melbourne, Australia in 2003 releasing an Australia only 7inch white vinyl ‘Straight Thru You’ on Rubber Records. This was preceded by an Australia only self-titled EP later that year. After a move to Sydney, teaming up with Anton Jacovaljevic, Scott Von Ryper and Aimee Nash completed the current Morning After Girls line-up and Australia only self-titled EP2 was released on Fly Music in 2005. This was followed by a USA only ‘Prelude EP’s 1 & 2’ release on Rainbow Quartz in the same year.

With performances at SXSW in 2005 and an accompanying US mini tour, the band then toured Canada, The UK and Japan before releasing an Australia only re-issue of ‘Prelude EP’s 1 & 2’ under the title ‘Evolve’ through Fly Music on their return.

Upon success in the UK with their unique brand of psychedelic fuzzy rock, the band released CD single ‘High-Skies’ in spring 2006 on Best Before Records in alternative formats from their forthcoming album release.
