More Pink Riot One of Gigwise’s favourite new bands of the last twelve months Pink Riot have split the day after they released their debut single.
The North London trio who released the rather brilliant ‘Impressions’ on Monday (July 31) announced the news via their Myspace page.
A statement from keyboard player Josh Dubell reads: “I regret to say that mike our vocalist has left the band due to musical differences and he will be starting his own solo work.”
“Obviously me and Cecil are gonna cool it for a while.......I’m going to go away and live in another country for a year or so and Cecil is going to be at university.”
However, the remaining duo says that they may be back at some point in the future, hopefully next year.
Speaking to Gigwise Dubell said: "We will be back.....thats what i want to emphasise."
He added in a message to fans: “Thank you for all your support and join in wishing Mike all the greatest success in whatever he does in the future!”
