This line up truly is a family affair.  The Kings consist of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared, and Cousin Matthew.  Even their name is in homage to family members.  Leon comes from the names of their father and grandfather.

They grew up living out of cars, other people’s homes and trailers, whilst they travelled across America with their evangelical father. Eventually they settled in Nashville and in 2000 they signed a recording contract with RCA in New York.

Religion has played a huge part, in their musical upbringing; they first began playing instruments at church services, performing to congregations.

Their debut album Youth & Young Manhood entered the U.K album chart at number five. After two weeks of it entering the U.K chart the album went gold, before even having been unleashed on American soil.
