George Michael began his 100 hour community service duty yesterday (August 13th) after his conviction in May for driving whilst unfit.
Michael was found slumped over his steering wheel in October 2006 in Central London with what Police claimed was a lethal concoction of drugs - including GHB and cannabis - in his system.
The former Wham star arrived at a London homeless shelter on Monday in a chauffer driven car and then helped out with work in the garden, reports WENN.
Michael said yesterday: "I'm just like everyone else. If you do something stupid, you have to pay the price. I've been doing some gardening and really enjoyed it.
"I'll do whatever they want me to do. I don't want any special treatment."
Part of his conviction also includes a two year ban from driving.
- They ought to send him to the Heath instead to clear up litter. It could really do with some cleaning up.
- hey momo....you sure know a lot about he Heath.....is that where you hang out? :-) George is worth 10 of you mate.
- I am glad that George is taking responsibility for his actions.
Hopefully he will kick the drugs to the curb as well.
- When are you coming to US, we have FAITH !
