The Princess Diana memorial concert held at Wembley Stadium earlier this year raised £1.2 million for charity it’s been announced.
The funds from the concert, which took place on July 1st in London, will be distributed between eight different charities – with each receiving over £150,000 each.
The special concert, which was organised by the late Princesses’ two child, Prince William and Prince Harry, featured performances from Elton John and Take That.
A spokesperson for the Royal Family said: "Although the event was first and foremost a tribute concert, both Princes William and Harry were keen that any proceeds should be shared among the eight charities which they had selected to be beneficiaries."
The Royal Marsden and Great Ormond Street Hospitals and The National Aids Trust - of which Princess Diana was a patron - are some of the charities that will receive the donations.
More funds are expected to be raised when a DVD of the concert is released on November 5th.
