The Johnny Cash film, ‘Walk The Line,’ has been voted the best music biopic of all time.
‘Walk The Line’ held off competition from Eminem’s, ‘8 Mile,’ which came in at number two in the poll ahead of ‘Amadeus’ – which recalls the life of Mozart.
Anton Corbijn’s film, ‘Control,’ about the life story of Joy Division frontman Ian Curtis was the most recent film to make the countdown at number seven.
Lovefilm asked 2,000 people to name their favourite music biopic in the poll.
A spokesperson for the company said: “Film and music make a great partnership and have resulted in some of the best acting performances in film.
“This poll showcases the very best the genre has to offer – whether it be a portrayal of a foul-mouthed rapper, a Motown legend or a classical composer.”
