US Strikes Affect Duran Duran Concerts

Band forced to reschedule...

Duran Duran have been forced to reschedule concert dates in New York after Broadway workers went on strike.

The strikes by stagehands – which have affected a number of Broadway productions - lead to the cancellation of the band’s performance at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Saturday (November 10th).

The group were coming to the end of a ten-night residency at the famous Broadway venue.

Performances scheduled for tonight (November 12th) and Tuesday (November 13th) have now been moved to the Roseland Ballroom.

Duran Duran singer, Simon LeBon said: "We are really disappointed that we weren't able to finish up the run on Broadway, which has been in the planning for months.

"However, we are relieved that there was somewhere else available to us so that we don't have to disappoint our fans by not playing."

Workers at the Roseland are understood to be working "around the clock” to accommodate the band’s set, reports the BBC.
