The plastic surgeon who operated on Kanye West’s mother, Donda, said that she most likely died of a heart attack, pulmonary embolism or accidental drugs overdose.
Dr. Jan Adams said that nothing went wrong when he carried out a breast liposuction, tummy tuck and liposuction on Donda West on November 9th.
West’s mother died in a medical facility in Los Angeles on November 12th after complications allegedly arouse from cosmetic surgery. She was 58.
"When she left this office [on November 9th], there was no problem whatsoever,” Adams told the Los Angeles Times.
He added that there was a “small list of possibilities” that could have caused West’s death.
Adam’s speculated that an accidental drugs overdose could be a possibility because he had prescribed Vicodin to help West deal with the usual pain which arises from cosmetic operations.
Los Angeles County coroner's office, which carried out a preliminary autopsy report on West’s Mother last week, did not mention drugs in their report.
Instead they opened an investigation into her death after the initial review found that West died "as a result of surgery or anesthesia."
According to the LA Times, Adams says he knows “exactly what happened to her” but will not comment until the findings of the investigation are published.
The paper claims that the surgeon contacted them after the interview to say that his comments were not about West’s case, but about a hypothetical patient.
