Jarvis Cocker Drops Eurovision Song Contest 'Dream'

Jarvis Cocker has lost all interest in creating Britain’s entry to the Eurovision Song Contest his spokesman has said.

Earlier this year, the former Pulp star had claimed that he was interested in the idea, saying that “the door is always open if they want to ask me.”

However, Cocker’s spokesman told the Independent: "Sorry, but I wouldn't hold your breath on that one."

Cocker is among a host of star’s who have expressed an interest in writing Britain’s entry to the infamous contest.

It was reported that Morrissey was also keen on writing a song for the 2007 edition of the competition, but a spokesman later said that the timing wasn’t right.
