Donna Summer is set to release her first album of new material in 17 years this May after signing a deal with Sony BMG’s Burgundy Records.
The disco legend has started work on a project that currently goes by the name of ‘Crayons’ with a long list of collaborators including Danielle Brisebois, Greg Kurstin, JR Rotem, Lester Mendez and Evan Bogart.
Speaking to Billboard she said: "My dream is that when people hear the music it will remind them of their youth, their childhood and the joy and wonderment they felt exploring their first pack of crayons."
The album will be released on May 20 and is Summer’s first featuring new songs since 1991’s ‘Mistaken Identity’.
