Kanye West is being sued by a songwriter from Maryland who claim the Rap superstar stole his hit song ‘Good Life’.
Dayna ‘D’Mystro’ Staggs is suing West alongside his record label G.O.O.D and Jay-Z’s label Roc-A-Fella for copyright infringement.
The papers submitted to the Maryland District Court say West did not obtain Staggs’ permission to use a sample of his track ‘Volume’.
Staggs also objects to the "vulgar and offensive" images associated with the song which he says damages the reputation of his own track.
He is demanding 85 per cent of all world sales of the proceeds from Good Life, although he fails to detail exactly how he arrived at that figure.
