Glastonbury Tickets Go On Sale Without A Hitch
Tickets went on sale for the Glastonbury Festival this morning, with no reported problems.
In past years, hopeful festival goers have been plagued by technical problems caused by the intense demand for tickets, but Glastonbury organisers have said they are happy with how things have gone since tickets became available from 9am this morning.
Demand for tickets amongst those who pre-registered to buy tickets is still said to be high, despite less people registering than expected for the June event in Somerset.
Organiser Emily Eavis blamed memories of last year’s muddy festival, rather than a lack of interest in the headlining stars, for the downturn.

- ”without a hitch!!!”
yeah right. fair enough it was not that hard in the end, but when you pressed ’process’ it was not telling you if you had them or not. sorry many people around the country had to cross their fingers.
actually, what the F am i moanin about.
yippeee

- Without a hitch? I’m not convinced that my transaction has been processed - after submitting payment details, all I got was a screen stating ”The service is currently very busy. Please try again a little later” I think most people would assume from this that the transaction had failed. Attempts to resubmit result in a message ”The registration number has already been used”. What is one supposed to make of this? Have I got a ticket, or haven’t I? What a shamble

View 1 Reply- From what i’ve heard it was easy getting tickets this year, I half-heartedly registered then only remembered today at 4 o’clock that they were even on sale! Went online, tried once, immediately confirmed, took less than 5 minutes with every page loading instantly. Much better than the 11 hours(!) it took me in 2004. I’d be interested to see if anyone HASN’T got tickets. Seems like less have registered and even less bothered to buy tickets.

- Dont blame the previous years weather! There is no getting away from the fact that the headliners are well below par. I have enjoyed many Glastos in the past, but this year I cannot go for personal reasons. If I had been going and not known who the headliners were, I would have felt well short changed. I think they have shot themselves in the foot a bit by releasing the names. Expect to see record lows at the Pyramid on Sat night, there is far more interesting things going on around the site!

- The usual ticket hell, ending in pure heaven!.x
