The Music have confirmed that their long-awaited third album will be entitled ‘Strength In Numbers’.
Speaking exclusively to Gigwise, the band also revealed the full tracklisting for the record – which will be released on June 16th.
Adam Nutter, the band’s lead guitarist, said that the band had progressed massively from their last album, 2004’s ‘Welcome To The North’.
“[‘Strength In Numbers] feels like a new beginning,” he added.
Frontman Rob Harvey echoed Nutter’s thoughts, saying: “Our relationships have grown in strength.”
“We have overcome a lot as a band and as people,” added bassist Stuart Coleman.
The band have teamed up with producer Flood for the record, who they said was “great at getting the best out of us.”
Giving their first interview since 2004, The Music told Gigwise fans that they believed they hadn’t achieved commercial success “because we come slightly from the left field which prevents us from having massive success.”
'Strength In Numbers' will be preceded by a single of the same name on June 2nd.
The band also told us that there would be a tour in support of the album which would feature the up-and-coming group The Officers.
