Rough and ready, country infused indie jams that sound freeform but have enough catchy hooks to draw you into repeated listens are what Wild Yaks do best. The five piece - Robert Bryn (Guitar, Vocals), Zack Davis (Guitar, Vocals), Chris Parachini (Bass Guitar, Harmonica, Vocals), Martin Cartegena - Drums, Harmonica, Vocals), Will Bates (Baritone Sax, Vocals) - hail from New York (Who doesn't these days!) but have a kind of wild, open space mid-west feel to them.
Check out the track 'River May Come' for a hint of their potential.
