A victim of a stabbing at this weekend's T In The Park is recovering well in hospital.
As previously reported on Gigwise the 22 year old was stabbed eleven times in the early hours of Sunday morning at the festival.
The Police reveealed more details about the incident this morning and say they have recovered good forensic evidence form the scene.
Det Ch Insp Bruce Kerr told the BBC: "He was an innocent victim. He went to intervene with the two males who were accosting one of his female friends and they just set about him and he was stabbed 11 times, eight to the body and three to the head."
Police are asking for any witnesses to come forward after releasing descriptions of the two attackers.
The first is said to be white, in his late teens, about 6ft 1in tall, of skinny build, with short, dark brown hair and wearing a white track suit top.
The second is also white and described as 5ft 8in and of medium build, with short, dark brown hair cut into a mullet. He was wearing a red tracksuit top.
