Britney Spears says tracks she has written for her next studio album are amongst some of her “best work ever”.
In her first interview for two years, the singer said the album was heading in a “more urban” direction than its predecessor, 2007's 'Blackout'.
"I'm writing every day, right here at the piano in this living room. This is my best work ever,” she told OK Magazine.
So far, Sean Garrett and JR Rotem are among a host of producers who have claimed to be working on the project.
The album, which has yet to be titled, is due to be released early next year.
As previously reported on Gigwise, Spears is currently in talks to perform at next months MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles.
The singer is already appearing in adverts for the awards ceremony alongside host Russell Brand.
