Metallica frontman James Hetfield told fans to forget about uploading videos of the band performing at the O2 Arena in London last night onto YouTube.
Addressing the crowd early on in the band's show, Hetfield said: “Put your phones away."
He added that people should not worry about talking to their mother or bother trying to make themselves famous on YouTube and "just enjoy the show."
Most of the crowd appeared to support Hetfield's wish, and put their cameras away for the following song.
Hetfield's comment comes a day after it was revealed that the band cancelled an interview with a Swedish publication after one of their journalist's admitted to illegally downloading the band's new album.
In a review of 'Death Magnetic', which is currently number one in the UK, Jonn Jeppsson confessed to downloading a different version of the record – and said he preferred it to the official one.
