American rock band Creed are planning a 2009 reunion tour, according to reports.
The band, who split in June 2004, have held talks over a string of dates which would earn them “significant dollars”.
Since parting ways, frontman Scott Stapp has embarked on a solo career, while bassist Brian Marshall, guitarist Mark Tremonti and drummer Scott Phillips formed Alter Bridge.
The group have sold 26.1million album sales in the US since 1997 and grossed more than $70million from their live shows.
A spokesperson for the band's record label told Billboard: There have been some talks, but it would be premature to comment on them at this time."
The reports coincide with claims that Alter Bridge's frontman Myles Kennedy is favourite to replace Robert Plant in Led Zeppelin.
Kennedy is one of a host of names who have been linked to the position since Plant said he no longer intended to return to the group.

- the band themselves are not planning anything. this is all taken out of context. mark tremonti has not even spoken to scott stapp.
if myles gets chosen to go out on a tour with zep, (under a different name), a creed TOUR, not anything else could happen. even if that truly occurred, it would be a tour and nothing else. no new material, etc. alter bridge would get back to work after both tours would finish.
- Good enough for me. Creed definitely does a great show. It would only benefit both parties involved to get back together because lets be honest, alter bridge sucks and so does stapps solo career. They need to get back together and continue making great music.
- from what I heard on the radio the other day the plan is for (if it were to actually happen) alter bridge and creed to play a tour together... with alter bridge opening for creed... im down with that... i like both personally

- yes,CREED is going on tour and they have a new CD. Tour starts Aug 6,2009 YES THEY ARE GOING ON TOUR.
