Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello has said there are “no plans” to record a new album with the band.
Fans have called for a new record ever since the band reformed last year following a seven-year break to headline a number of music festivals.
But Morello said he was to busy with his Nightwatchman project to record again with the group.
"There are no plans for that. We've had a wonderful year and a half of playing shows, and I don't see any reason to not play more shows,” he told Billboard.
“The thing is there's only so many hours in the musical day, and mine are very occupied right now."
Morello said the Nighwatchmen project would be “my principal musical focus, as I see it, for the remainder of my life.”
He added: “From the earliest days of playing open mic nights at coffee houses, it was apparent to me that this music was as important to me as any music I've ever been involved in. It really encapsulates everything I want to do as an artist."
Rage Against The Machine’s last studio album, ‘Renegades’, was released in 2000.
